Join Ambre Victoire and Vasco Mónica, two passionate and experienced surfers, for an exclusive and high-quality longboard and movement immersion in the breathtaking setting of Alentejo.
Born and raised in this beautiful area, Vasco brings his innate connection to the ocean and expertise in surfing. In contrast, Ambre, with her dance and free surfing background, infuses the experience with her unique perspective on movement, emotional release and body awareness.
While Vasco, a skilled shaper, shares his ergonomic knowledge about surf materials, Ambre will guide you through movement practices to unlock tension and explore self-awareness and body awareness.
We aim to enhance your surfing approach, cultural understanding, and body awareness, creating optimal conditions for progress.
Herdade da Matinha in Alentejo, where luxury meets nature, offers the perfect venue for this transformative experience.
Each day will typically include a mix of the following activities:
Personalized Coaching: With a small group size, expect personalized attention and tailored coaching from Vasco and Ambre. They are dedicated to providing you with the tools you need to elevate your longboarding and movement practice.
Yoga & Movement Workshops: Daily sessions led by Ambre, focused on improving mobility, body awareness, strength, and surf-specific movement. Her approach combines emotional expression and functional movement for a holistic surfing experience.
Surfing Session: Guided by Vasco and Ambre, you’ll surf the stunning waves of Alentejo — a longboarder’s dream — with continuous support and technical insights.
Video Analysis: Receive personalized video feedback to help you better understand your technique and progress more effectively.
Surf Culture & Theory: Learn more about surf culture, ocean knowledge, and wave dynamics in engaging sessions with Vasco and Ambre.
Surfboard Design & Materials: VVasco will share his experience as a shaper, explaining the purpose of different board and fin shapes, and how to choose the right gear for different conditions and styles.
Free Time for Relaxation & Exploration: Enjoy downtime to unwind, connect with nature, or explore the peaceful Alentejo surroundings.
Group Breakfast/Brunch: Delight in diverse and delicious breakfasts or brunches (depending on the forecasts) at Matinha.
Group Dinners: Savor delicious dinners prepared with locally sourced ingredients at Matinha. On select evenings, venture out to local restaurants to experience authentic Alentejo cuisine.
Wine Tasting at Herdade do Cebolal: One afternoon, we’ll visit the beautiful Herdade do Cebolal for a wine tasting experience that connects you with the land, flavors, and traditions of Alentejo.
